The climate, research, infrastructures and young people are at the centre of the EU Budget 2020, approved this morning at the European Parliament.
- €504 million in climate action.
- €302 million for research projects.
- €133 million for network infrastructure investments.
- €50 million for Erasmus+ plus 28.3 million for the Youth Employment Initiative.
Renew Europe played a key role in securing important achievements for the European Parliament during the conciliation negotiations. Importantly, the total of EUR 850 million in additional commitment appropriations obtained by the EP will be spent on the priorities shaped and shared by our Group, including climate, research and innovation, youth and the Connecting Europe Facility and SMEs.
