TUESDAY

The Transport and Tourism Committee will vote on the regulation to safeguard and maintain fair competition in air transport, which will contribute on boosting the international competitiveness of EU’s aviation industry. ALDE MEP Pavel Telička (CZ) is shadow rapporteur on this file.

Committee of Women’s Rights and Gender Equality will consider Report on the implementation of Directive establishing minimum standards on the rights, support and protection of victims of crime, with ALDE MEP Angelika Mlinar (AT) as co-rapporteur.

ALDE’s Vice-Chair Izaskun Bilbao Barandica is in New York to attend the 62nd session of the UN Committee on the Status of Women (CSW) and present her report on empowering women in rural areas.

Committee of Development will vote on draft report for Enhancing developing countries’ debt sustainability, with ALDE MEP Charles Goerens (BE) as rapporteur.

WEDNESDAY

ENVI Committee will vote on adoption of motion for a resolution on Vaccine hesitancy and the drop in vaccination rates in Europe, with ALDE MEP Gesine Meissner (DE) as co-raporteur, due to growing numbers of people choosing to delay or refuse vaccines.

On the eve of the commemoration of the Brussels and London attacks of 22 March 2016 and 2017 respectively, the Special Committee on Terrorism will hold a public hearing to pay tribute to victims of terrorism and discuss how to ensure that their rights are properly protected in the EU. Several ALDE MEPs will wear a white ribbon to commemorate the date and ALDE MEP Nathalie Griesbeck (FR) will hold a conference at 18h.

The Industry and Energy Committee will vote on a law to enforce EU gas market rules on suppliers from non-EU countries like Russia, Norway, Algeria, Libya, Tunisia and Morocco.

ALDE President Guy Verhofstadt will host a Facebook Live intervention on the Brexit at European Parliament’s page at 3pm.

THURSDAY

ALDE Party will host a Pre-Summit presented by its President Hans van Baalen and Guy Verhofstadt MEP, leader of the ALDE Group in the European Parliament; 8 liberal Prime Ministers and a few European Commissioners ahead of the European Council Summit of the same day. Spanish Ciudadano’s leader Albert Rivera and UK’s Liberal Democrats leader Vince Cable will also attend the event.

IMCO Committee will vote on the E-card Services directive, with ALDE MEP Morten Løkkegaard (DK) as rapporteur.

The newly-created Special Committee on Financial Crimes, Tax Avoidance and Tax Evasion (TAX3) will hold its first meeting in Brussels, where its members will elect the Chair and Vice-Chairs, with an expected heavy involvement by ALDE MEP Petr Ježek (CZ).
