The 30th anniversary conference of the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought will be organised in Brussels between Monday and Tuesday. It will highlight the EU engagement for human rights, give visibility to current activities run by Sakharov Prize laureates, and emphasise key achievements of the Sakharov Prize Network. Tomorrow Tuesday ALDE MEP Marietje Schaake, AFET rapporteur on external financing instruments, will chair the panel on views or priorities for human rights action. Programme and more info here.
